Hair!

I personally hate going to the salon, and paying almost $800 for bleaching out my hair a color highlights and a trim, when I can do it all at home for under $50! (except the trim).  I have been playing with hair color since I was 13, I actually had highlights in 1994 and everyone at school laughed at me, well guess what? less than a year later everyone had them, and I was laughing at them.  I have no degree in hair, and I really don't want one cause I cannot cut hair to save my life.  Plus I'm happy studying politics :).  So what do I do without breaking the bank? When I get bored I race over to Sally's (about every 2 months).  My hair is really black, so most of the time when I wanna change I go back to black, so I usually end up bleaching the black out.  How I do this, is get a bottle of 40 developer (cream) and any bleaching packet, I also make sure to have gloves, mixing bowl and a brush that applys the bleach.  (As I'm typing this I have bleach on my head and yeah it burns but what can we do).  If your hair is lighter you wouldn't need 40, most likely 30.  Then I pick the color that I like from ION or Wella, these brands are not your hair color in a box color they are what the people at the salon use.  After I bleach out my hair, I wait a few hours and let my scalp relax a bit, take a 10 developer and mix the color and apply it.  I wait 20-30 min and use a ION cream for my dry hair.  I usually wait one or two days before doing the highlights, at this point your scalp is sooooo sensitive that your head will feel like it is on fire and itch so much that you wont be able to take it so if you are doing highlights WAIT! Plus you get a chance to see what people think about your base color.  When doing highlights I get the good old fashioned highlighting cap and pull pieces through.  After that I use the same 40 and bleach and let it sit, and then shower out the bleach.  And use a cream conditioner and let it sit!
Like I said I'm not a professional I don't have a degree in this, but I have been successful with this and usually after I finish I go trim my hair and the people ask where I got it done.  Also if you are looking just for a simple color, why waste 100 at the salon? Pick up a tube of Wella, and some developer and your set, and save that money! If you can't see or reach behind you have your husband or a friend over for a color party!.  If all else fails and you hate the color just dye it dark and your only out 50 dollars instead of 800!!! :)

Stella and Dot, Saving the world one piece at a time.

Hey girls, well I have a lovely reader named Heather, and Heather posted on Lamasrichie.com about something that she does, which is trunk shows with great and beautiful jewelry, the good thing about this company is they do a lot of donating proceeds of many items.  I feel in love with like everything they have to offer! Many girls do purse parties, and cookie parties well this is actually a party that I would love to have in my home.  Take a look at the super cute and well made products.  And thanks Heather for allowing me to share this.

Lamas Richie?

Since most of my readers come from Lamas Richie, I would like to know if anybody knows what is going on? I know she went on strike? But really was that needed? Couldn't she addressed the comments? Joined in and said "hey this is my blog why don't you calm down".  She also said she would have a grand opening of her vault on Valentines day, and that she was always shopping for it.  Valentines morning I woke up excited to check it to see 3 handbags and two watches? I'm a little lost, and sad, I really liked the website and talking with girls around the world.

Middle Eastern tricks of the trade!

Girls, my husband is from the beautiful land of Saudi Arabia.  All of his family and girls and guys that I meet from there always have dark beautiful thick hair.  Even though my hair is already extra thick and dark, I wanted to know what the hell do they drink that they all have this hair and dark eyes!
Well here is how it happens.  It starts off when they are infants.  They shave off the hair, girl or boy and let it grow back in thick, since when you are born your baby hair usually falls out slowly they do this anyways .  They use black khol on the child's eyes and eyebrows to bring in the deep dark eyes that are often seen on the women and men and the middle east.
If you are older, and still want thick hair, I asked my husband what I could advise my readers to use.  He told me Hasheesh oil (which made me give him a strange look) he told me it is like hemp, it is legal and can be used on the scalp to make the hair grow in super thick and strong.  Also henna, if you go to your local arabic grocery store they most likely carry it.  It will make your hair color red, but it will also make it super thick and soft.  As for the Hasheesh Oil, I'm still looking for a place to buy it, if you girls find it let me know, otherwise I will keep you posted.  My older daughter I put eyeliner or khol on her eyes, and she has amazing eyes, it is not the eyeliner you get from Mac, you have to get it from an Arabic store.  Ask me and I can most likely find a store for you in your city :)

Ebay store.

My mom and I got sick of shopping on Ebay (well not really) but we realized that we have a lot to sell, and we are also great at finding great finds. We decided to open an Ebay store and last week we did a trial run, and we are still in that faze but we are doing as well as we expected, so we intend to keep it up.  I'm currently setting up shop in my home (I.e. getting all the boxes and packing stuff ready).  I have investors, all I have to do is shop! Girls if you follow me here and like something that I have on Ebay, I will offer you free shipping.  Currently, we are just starting up so we have just two products left from our trial run so they are not exciting.  I promise once I get products in I will let your girls know.  Also, I will be getting for all sizes.  Let me know what brand you love, what you shop for on Ebay.? The dress we have on now is a

LEIFSDOTTIR Dot Chain Jacquard Dress.  Heiress clothing! look for us! If you like the dress it is a size 12! My mom bought it and I told her she is too old for it hahahah, she never wore it!

Girls on a spring time budget...

Ready to box up your sweaters and break out your tanks girls?  Lets talk spring and lets talk deals! First off, a trend that started out last year and is making its way back is the open cardigan over your tank which I think is an adorable look with shorts and a pair of platforms for an everyday look! This look can be really inexpensive for all sizes.  Let's take forever 21 as an example since they have all sizes, tanks can be found for $4.50, shoes for around 20-30 cardigans under 14 and shorts under 20.  The good thing is all these pieces can be used in other outfits.  Your tank can go under a cute sundress and the cardigan for a layered look with your shoes.  Shorts can turn into night out shorts with diff shoes and a dressier shirt.  To keep this cute, and simple ad a pair of hoop earrings, to me hoops never go out of style.  Something else for me that never goes out of style is a long black flowy skirt, try adding a cute fedora hat with a long black skirt and flats.  Tell me about your spring time finds? I'm in Arizona girls, so keep in mind it has been spring time here since December haha... I have been stocking up on sandals and getting great deals! From Tory Burch to Charollete Russe.

netting.....

They have bra's and panties, and lotions and creams but I'm giving you the key to a romantic night, or if you are single a night of feeling like you are on an island.  With Valentines day around the corner as a girl, you are trying to find something to spice up your night and surprise your loved one with.  Try getting netting above your bed.  They sell them for 19.99 at Ikea, and just about every store.  A few years back they were really in demand but I never caught on board with the trend.  Recently my mom bought me one, and I hung the netting on my celling and wrapped the rest around my bed put candles and I felt like I was in another place.  It also gives your room a diff vibe and feeling.  Enjoy :)

Plus size store that rocks!!!

A while back I had ad's on my blog.  I clicked on one of the ad's and it was called style369.com, and I found out it is a plus sized store in the UK, (well plus size to them starts at like size 10 US).  I was so excited to find cute stuff, they are offering 20% off now, and shipping is not that bad it starts at 5 pounds.  I invested in harem pants which I'm sure will end up in the back in my closet, but I had to at least try.  The funny thing is that even my mother was like "Um Natalie nobody looks good in Harem pants".  I will try with some cute sandals and see.  This store is def. book marked on my pages.

Valentines day

Girls, what are you getting your men for V-day? Anyone have any suggestions for anything for my hubby? I was thinking of an old fashion shaving set?!??! He wants an IPhone!!! I'm stuck! Suggestions Girls!!!

Made in the GLAMOUROUS CHINA???

When Juicy came out, I was so happy to see two American girls making their brand in the glamourous USA!!! I was proud, we were helping our economy and it felt like I was wearing a piece of America on me! In the pass few years, Juicy has been sold off and being made in China! Of all places! I'm all for giving people around the world jobs, trust me!!! But when something is famous for being made in the USA why destroy it? As I sit here in my Juicy sweats, I wonder should I trash them and never buy from them again, or should I support them and China? What do you guys feel when American companies change and have there products made overseas? I know stores like Wal*mart and Target make their stuff over seas and also H&M I don't mind, cause they never claim USA! But this just bothers me!!!!

Girls, Crack kills....my eyes!!!!

Personally, I hate being out eating and seeing a girl's crack hanging out, does she not feel the wind drifting on her lower back? It is so tacky, either wear a longer shirt or learn how to get jeans that FIT YOU.  I went on a search for jeans.  I think I found 2 pairs that are great, and really great for us girls that are curvy and have had children, and are not straight as a stripper poll!

Skip, AE and AF and all those A' places, and read what I have to say about great jeans.  You do not need to invest your month savings into a pair of jeans, because really nobody looks at the label of your jeans and if they did who really cares? I have been wearing target mossimo for the past 5 years and they have been great!!! They come in all sizes and shapes, and you know what? They dont show my crack!!! I know that there are brands like "not my daughters jeans" but those are around 129.00 for a pair!!!! Target Jeans are 24.99-30 you can get a lot of styles and shapes and colors that way.  I also wanted to ad that last week I was shopping, and I thought to myself lets go into New York and Company....There stuff is usually a little plain for me but, I thought I would just walk around.  I saw the cutest jeans I couldnt believe it.  I went and tried them on, and they fit perfect!!! they were not down low or trying to ride low like other jeans rather they sat perfect! I paid 40 dollars! Just wanted to give you girls some tips on my latest finds!!! And remember Crack kills hahahaha!!!!
