Not a leader, not a follower!!!!

This picture has always made me smile, I feel that I can relate to it how many of you girls out there feel the same? In this new I didn't want to make a resolution because I didn't wanna be pressured into something that I most likely would fail at.
Last night I was talking to my mom, and I was telling her "Mom I don't have a style, I have style but I don't want to be in one style group".  I looked at myself in the mirror, I had my ballet flats on with a preppy stripped sweater, emo hair and Monroe piercing.  My mom told me how she doesn't have a style either.  I just don't want to be one style, I want to wear my hair and clothes for what I love if one day it is preppy the next its trendy one day classy I don't care and I don't think people should care either.  I do not want to be labeled.  I debated having my hair emo style and having a Monroe piercing cause I was thinking "Oh god will the moms at the play section think I'm not "MOM" enough or the people at Saks think that I'm a thief" but then I said how stupid, who really cares I'm me, me me me!!!! :)

Try this, NOT THAT

Ok, so girls, I'm trying to get across to you that when you go out, and wanna have a fun night the less trashy you look the better you look.  Here are some tips that I always used to follow.
1-If your outfit is dramatic, tone down the makeup, we dont need a blood red dress with matching lips.

2-If you wear a little black dress, pair it up with some fun shoes and dark eye makeup with light lips (you look like you have mystery hiding it will make the boys crazy)

3-Leave your butt and boobs to the imagination! Its nice to show some legs, a little arms but we dont need to see all of that stuff, keep that for the bedroom.  If you must, either wear tight bottom with a shirt that doesnt show your upper goodies.  and vise versa.

4-I made the mistake in 2007 of wearing a corset over a shirt, I heard people saying "wow thats one big bra" leave the under garments under!!!

5-Nobody likes glitter, unless they are on your shoes, we dont wanna see your eyes lined with glitter or all over your body.

6-Leave the stripper shoes at home and the ballet flats!!! Stilettos are great, wedges, pumps etc.  always remember to be comfy, if you know you cant last more then 10 min in those 7 inch Louboutins, then why did you buy them? Yes beauty is pain, but when you are out for a night of fun, make it fun not painful! If you loveeee a pair of shoes that are not comfy, race your butt to walmart and get things for the inside and always keep band aides in your clutch.

7-Purses, we are not shopping at the mall, so a small clutch will do, and no girls, under your boobs is not a clutch, I used to hate when girls would pull out there money and id from under their sweaty boobs ew! TRASH! clutches are great to dance with and you can keep everything in there.  I knew this girl who would carry her asthma inhaler, id, money, car keys all under her boobs and one time she was looking for something and a guy said "what do you have CVS in there".

Ok, Girls, I'm telling you these things because I have been done with my clubbing stage, so I feel like I'm your fairy clubbing mother (haha) and want to rescue you from looking like trash! Yeah if you look like trash you will have all the guys all over you, but not the type that you really want.

Okkkk, I'm all for being confident and I don't like to knock down girls, but really, all these girls think they are "models", and I'm sorry a boob job and spray tan does not qualify you to be considered as a model.  These girls try to hard, and it is really sad.  I see them all over thedirty.com and facebook with their "follow me I'm going to a photoshoot".  Yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but girls with 200 pounds of makeup and dressed like a whore is not a model!!!!! Sorry just had to vent! Ha! And no I'm not jealous, I don't wanna be a "model" and never have! Wow I kinda feel like Nik Richie at this moment!

GET OUT THERE AND STOCK UP!!!!

I haven't had a chance to get out and catch the deals but hopefully I will be able to before everything is gone.  Its a great time to stock up on things such as deodrant, underwear, body sprays and any things that you will need.  Make sure not to get more then 6 months worth (things can go bad).  My friend told me she got tons of stuff for ten dollars at walmart and target.  Also a good thing to do is to get stuff for the tree and decorations next year.  This year I spent so much on lights and tree stuff etc. so I will be boxing up things that I know I will be needing for next year.  Target has a great selection of x-mas balls for the tree for 50 cents now, they are really cute.
If you are looking for clothing and shoes, Nordstrom has a surprise sale! They have some great Jimmy Choo shoes and really cute sweaters on sale among other stuff.  Its a great time to buy!

This time of year companies knock down the prices because people return stuff without the gift receipt and so the stores profit off of this.  So enjoy the low prices! Tell me where you got your best deals! Oh girls, I just want to let you know that I got my Chanel Bow sunglasses from Ebay with the tags brand new, for 176 dollars!!!! I'm super happy! Sometimes you can find super good deals on Ebay, just make sure to read the reviews etc.

Happy Birthday

I wanna take a minute to wish my daughter a Happy 2nd birthday! I know she cant read or understand, but anyone who reads my blog (the few people who I really appreciate) I just wanted to let you know!!!.....Kids grow up so fast so enjoy every moment with them :) Love you Lamees!!!!

A big no-no girls.

So, I'm a bigggg fan of thedirty.com I think it is super fun to read, and makes me laugh at the things that girls and guys do in life.  Nik Richie has a great mind and is on point.  I have been following the website since 1 week after it started.  And have read almost every post (yes I get bored but it is worth it).  My husband hates that I read it.  Girls, to keep yourself from being on this site and being put on blast is easy. Stay classy.  The picture that so many girls take is in the bathroom and on the toilet! I mean I'm sorry how is this classy? Or even sexy? I see girls trying to take pictures in nice bathrooms, or even in their own ones with clothes thrown all over.  I mean girls get it together bathroom pictures are not sexy or classy.  They only make you look like a cheap whore! The worse part of it is the girls post them on facebook or twitter etc.  Girls stay classy!!! Ps this is some random girl!

Ebay

So a few weeks ago my mom gave me her ebay info and paypal.  I went a little crazy to say the least.  I got some great deals, however it doesnt compare to shopping in the mall.  But with the busy holiday season it helped.  Within the next few weeks I will be going through boxes and boxes and boxes of my clothes, shoes, purses everything and posting them up on ebay! I dont want to have a garage sale because people want to pay 50 cents for something I paid a lot for and still has tags and they get mad when you say more.  I have a lot of great things and my husband has somewhat put his foot down with my clothing addiction! If I want more I have to get rid of what I have basically.  As much as it pains me, I know that someone else will enjoy them far more then me.  I have all diff. sizes, and in shoes I wear a 10, I do have some 9 1/2s though.  Most clothing is L, XL, and XXL pants 12-20.  ( I go back and forth in my weight like crazy).  I will also be going back east in feb. to visit my family, I have more stuff at my moms house and I can happily laugh at her and say she is a hoarder, I feel like that episode of Lindsay Lohan and Hoarders when I go to her house.  It is super clean but I don't know how many closets she has filllllllled with stuff.  My mom has clothes from sizes 2-12 and shoes 7-8.5, she has tons of beautiful designer dresses and suits that would be great for someone who works a lot.  (she doesnt work I have no idea why she bought them mom if your reading this time for a hording intervention haha) So, once I get the ball rolling I will let everyone know! Cindy Lou WHO!?

I wanna bring in topics some times that aren't always about fashion directly.  So my daughter (2yrs) was watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the one with Jim Carey and Taylor Momsen.  The movie was made in 2000 and Taylor was just a little girl adorable as can be.  Now Taylor stars in the show Gossip girl and is the lead singer for The Pretty reckless. She is 17 yrs old, and has been getting a lot of criticism for the way she dresses and the things that she says.  She has become very gothic, and talks with a foul mouth. Well people, she is 17 what do you expect, not every girl turns out like a cheerleader! And at least she doesn't hide the horrible things she does like Miley to me is a undercover hoe and druggie.  I think Taylor is being herself, and people she just let her be.  Her fashion is cute and I have to admit that I was a goth at her age also. Haha. If you are a Gossip Girl fan, I wish they would bring back Lil J I loved her role.
As for Miley, and Hannah Slutanna, I don't understand what the producers at Disney were thinking when they did the last season.  They know that the audience is girls from 5-10, and they did a whole season about relationships! So, I know I personally did not let my daughter watch it and neither did her father.  She doesn't need to know about men who cheat and all of this kind of stuff.  They tried to bring in viewers who were older but honestly older girls either know about this stuff or they just don't care.

Who can be a role model to little girls now? Miley who was recently video tapped taking hits from a bong? Demi Lovato who is in rehab for being a cutter and beating up a dancer? I know I would love to be my daughters role model and I'm sure I'm but they also look up to these girls.  I'm at a loss!

A classy Divorce?

We live in a day and age were most marriages end up sadly in divorce.  Everyone thinks they are so in love and just race off and get married.  I was in this trend, I married when I was 20, and I did it not because of love but because I had moved to a new city and felt alone.  I would say big mistake (he was) but I had a daughter after a year of marriage.  My daughter is now 8 years old, and sadly lives with her father.  He decided to have an un-classy divorce and make it very messy.  Each parent thinks they knows what is best for their child, as he does, but we all have our own opinion.  To make a long story short, he hired a bunch of lawyers but had told me there would be none and made a big to do.  I love my daughter dearly and I still see her all the time.  I have re-married and have another daughter, and he re-married to a really sweet girl, who I have become friends with.
So, if you married and you feel the need to divorce, do a few things first, make sure that it is not an impulse choice, that it is really what you want, and what is best for you and your life.  Make sure that if you have children involved that they never become between you two, and they do not get used in any way.  Always keep your cool, never show your weak side.  Even if you need to burst out and scream in anger and cry dont let him/her see that.  Be the better person.  Write down everything they have said or done that is wrong and keep it some place safe.  (Just incase this is brought into court)

I know this doesn't have a lot to do with fashion, or saving money but it has a lot to do with class!!! And above all else, do not have a divorce party (super tacky!) Invite yourself to a nice dinner at home, and if you do drink have a glass of wine and a nice bubble bath!

Wow, shopping from 1:30 pm-10pm with a almost 2 year old child is no bueno! Too top it off, I wore my shape ups! I'm blogging to all my readers from my fav. blanket with a sore back and legs.  I can say I have 90 percent completed my shopping.  When I was young, I used to set aside $250.00 for gifts for everyone, now, I set aside $1,500.  That is for 2 children my husband, my father, my aunt (Godmother), Sister, niece, nephew, brother and his wife, uncle, another aunt, a cousin and 4 friends.  (My mom's I'm giving later to her).  Let me tell you I got all of these gifts and I bought a tree wrapping paper and some decorations also, I still have $100.00 left over and I bought a pair of Juicy pants (Only 16.99!!! outletttt).  So, how did I do this.  Well, I decided to give each child $300 worth of presents (including all taxes and delivery) and my husband $300 (including all taxes and delivery also). The majority of the people got my gift baskets filled with goodies from the bath and body works outlet, each basket has one small thing for the person that I know they would love, such as a Pajama set, (Ross, Walmart) or a sweater (target).  I'm really happy that I stuck to what I had to do, and I think that the people will love the gifts.  Mostly because my family now has a rule (since the economy is so bad) to only give gifts to the kids.  I can't follow this rule, this is my holiday, and I love giving, even if it is not much! Wish me luck tomorrow getting the small final touches!!!! Oh btw I hate not being able to show my husband everything I got him!!! It's super annoying I already broke down and gave him one of his gifts! That is why I always shop last minute!!!!!!

Sales, tis the season ....

I have a big family, and today I start shopping.  (Unenthusiastic yay) As much as I love shopping and giving gifts, it is just super stressful, and annoying, to say the least.  Mostly cause you have to promise yourself not to spend all your money on yourself! HA!
Well, my plan of action goes as follows, LISTS! have the stores, and the malls (cause I have to go to like 3) mapped out! Knock out the gifts that you have to ship to your far away family first.  If you have to take your little one with you, have your purse filled with treats to keep them quiet.  Always print your coupons and keep them in a zip locked bag were your cards are so you are not fiddling around while there are 90000 people in line.  Once you have gotten what you needed for one person, cross them off! There is no adding or turning back, even if the gift is "so them".  Leave it for next year! Gift yourself a small amount for all the hard work you are doing, and no girls Gucci sunglasses are not a small gift, I mean small in price.  Well wish me luck!

Sooooo New Years is coming, unlike most of the people around the world, I will be sitting home with my two girls watching the ball drop.  However, the rest of you will be out there living it up in style (hopefully) we all know that it is cold out on New Years but this is the time of year you need to sacrifice your warmth and dress it up! Starting a New Year looking sexy, will be something that makes you feel fabu all year long.  I picked this dress as the main picture because if I were to go out and look sexy this would be something that I would love to wear.  The dress is by M.N.G mango for Jcpenny! Maternity!!!!!

So, you just found out you have to spend 9 months not looking cute! Wrong! Pregnancy is beautiful and stylish.  Whenever I talked to my mom or aunt about this, they would go on and on about the moo-moos that they had to wear cause there was no fashion for pregnant women back in the day.  I have had 2 baby girls and I was prego's in 2001-2002 and 2008! My first pregnancy, I was of course spoiled by the family buying me clothes from A pea in the pod and stores like that.  The second time around, my family wasn't as excited and seeing that the clothes were too outdated I decided to check out Target.  Well it was great, target has great clothes from Liz Lange that are super comfy and really affordable.  A lot of the time you find the clothes even on the 75% off rack.  I remember when I was pregnant, in the first few months I would get sick when I looked at maternity clothes, so if you have a friend or a loved one prego, get them a few things.  Let their nine months be comfy, because it is already NOT comfy to start with.  A pea in the Pod is having a sale currently for the holidays.  Girls if you are prego, remember that after you have your baby, box up your maternity clothes for your friends and family members who might get pregnant, they will thank you!

Sunglasses

If you have followed my posts you will see that one of my things is to save money for sunglasses, because they are such an important part of your style.  Every year I buy at least 2 good pairs of sunglasses, usually Dior.  However lately Dior's sunglass style has been slacking along with most other brands.  Seeing thats why the last time I bought sunglasses was FEB last year! They were Carreras, super cute.  I'm getting sick of them though, I need to find a new pair.  I posted the cute Chanel's with the Bows on the side, cause I tried them on and I loved them and they were new and classy. However when I went online I already found fake versions of them! This makes me crazy and not wanna buy the sunglasses! I'm very picky, I want oversized and fun! Anyone have any suggestions! Please help a girl out before she is blinded by the sun!!!

The best 50 Bucks you will ever spend I promise

So, the other day hubby and me were taking a stroll around Target, and I saw this big blanket and I hugged it and I almost died! But I though 49.99 for a throw was a lot.  So I researched it on target, and realized all sizes twin-king are 49.99 and that the "throw" is two layers and sewn together to make it extra plush and comfy.  So I went back, I can honestly say that I would marry this blanket if I could.  It was a great investment and I'm really enjoying it.  I havent read the cleaning instructions on it but I'm sure its wash not dry clean.  Girls treat yourself to something nice for the holiday season!!!! To RE GIFT OR NOT

NOT!!! This is such a horrible thing to do, as much as we need to save money in this day and age re-gifting is not the best option! More than likely the person will figure out that you have re-gifted and be offended.  I remember one year I randomly got a random serving dish.  I was like huh? It look like they pulled it out of their kitchen closet and wrapped it up for me.  (and anything cooking is so not me).  Gifts are to be personable, I really have something really cheap (even dollar store) than a re-gift.  HOWEVER, there are certin situations when re-gifting is ok.  A few years back my sister in-law got a bracelet from someone and the bracelet was really not her type of style, and it was a coach bracelet, my mother who adores coach and anything blingy was who she gave it to, but before she gave it to her she told her "when I got this gift I thought of you and how much you would love it so I decided to save it for you for Christmas rather than return it".  In this situation you are telling the person, and you are also telling them that it is something that you believed they would love.  I re-gifted twice in my life and I have nightmares about it seriously! Another situation that it can be ok is if it is an heirloom, if it is something that someone wants to pass down to you, you should feel happy about that even if you asked for an Ipod! (true story) Bottom line is before you think about re-gifting think about how the person would feel getting a sweater you threw in the back of your closet last Christmas?

Tip: Create a holiday basket, forget the cheese and sausage and make it fun.  Stock up on items at the dollar store such as the basket stuffing and small little things the person would love. As I said in an earlier post picture frames are the best.  Just add your fav. picture of you and your loved one or if you have children put in their holiday picture.  If the person is super artsy and into music type up a famous poem and frame it.  If you want to spend more on the basket add your personal gift inside.  I intend to use this.  Another good tip if the person loves bath and body works, stock them up on loofahs.  If they love costume jewelry put a few good pieces from the store Amuse in there or Charollete Ruse.  Many options many ideas!!!

The Pea Coat

A classic pea coat looks great on anyone in any shape or size men and women even children.  It is such a good look, you can wear it day or night time, khaki, black, navy basicly any color that you want! So when you think of a Pea Coat you might be like me and your mind goes straight to Burberry! Well, a selected few can afford a Burberry, and they do not always fit the average women! (their size 14 is like a size 10!!!) So I went Pea coat hunting for my girls.  And I want to tell you about my finds.  The best coats for the best price was at Old Navy, they are currently offering 50% off of jackets so they come out to less then 50 dollars for a coat.  They have a winter white, black and a beautiful orangish red.  The also have short medium and long length.  If you are of the fun sized (short) girls I suggest to get the medium or shorter version, as cute as the long one is it will just bring out your hips and make you look more fun sized.  For my plus sized girls, the medium length one is always best.  So what can you wear with your pea coat? anything! I have had sweat pants on and worn it and I have had evening dresses and worn it.  I do wanna also point out for our lovely mothers to be that Target has a wonderful black pea coat and it pleats out at the stomach which makes it super cute! For those of you who are in warmer weather or just want something to run around in, I found a really cute pea coat with a hood made of sweater material for $20 at walmart! So girls get out there and get your pea coats on!!!! Post your pictures!!!

Its that time of year that you can ask for something stupidly expensive and possibly get it! and the best part is you dont have to pay for it!!! After Christmas each year I tell my mom and dad "start saving for next year".  Granted I don't always get what I want, I always walk away happy, why cause I gave and I recived! This year money is tight for everyone! Christmas is in the air!!!

Sorry for the delayed posts, wont happen again, but I thought that nobody was reading my site, but my lovely sister told me that she was and just let it slowly grow, and so I decided to give it a chance again and let it grow, plus where else can I go to speak my thoughts about wonderful fashion deals! If you have children, pictures are always something that everyone wants! It is a great gift you cant go wrong with it and it is super cheap!

The day the Whore's come out!!!

So, when I was younger, I was talking to a group of girls about Halloween, and I was like why do you love it so much, they would be like "cause its the one day a year we can dress like a whore and get away with it".  Um ok me, I prefer the candy!  Girls, just because it is halloween, doesn't mean you have to dress 90% Naked.  Tonight I was at a family event with my daughter the girl had a skirt that was slit all the way up and her ass cheeks hanging out! And downtown, lets not even go there, I have seen girls with more clothes at a strip club!  Dress cute, dress fun, but dress classy....Be Coco Chanel, or Cleopatra, or even a Spice girl (haha).  Anyways, my costume for this year is a Saudi Religous Police man! Im going to go with a stick and hit any girls dressed like a whore with it hahaha! Ok I wont do that, but I would love to.  Ok Girls and boys, have a happy and safe halloween, please dont drink and drive, there are many kids on the streets and that includes my 2 children and I dont want anything to happen.

Drug store makeup VS brands

I have been testing this out for so long, because I wanted to save money on makeup! Well, lipstick now is about 10-12 dollars at the drug store and eye shadows are 7.99 (about that.) Ok so you save a few bucks! but as a person who has worked for many makeup companies, you have to understand that the pigmant in brands such as Nars, Mac, Makeup Forver is like ten times stronger and makes you look like you walked off the runway (even if you suck at makeup).  The best foundation is makeup forever by farrrrr but it is really pricey! The best bang for your buck in the makeup department is Mac.  But if you want more then one eye color be sure to check out sephora's kits, they usually have really good deals on smokey eye kits etc.  Mac by far has great lipstick and its 14 dollars which is not much diff from the drug store! Be sure that when you get a kit that you get a base color, a dark med and light color to make the perfect eye, and on days that you dont wanna go all out you can throw on the med and base color to make a bussiness casual eye.  If you wanna have fun with eye colors Milani (ghetto drug store brand) has really fun cheap colors but also maC has really fun colors for $14.  But as Nik Richie of thedirty.com says "no mac forcefields".  please girls remember this even if its written on your grave stone, light lips dark eyes, dark lips light eyes!!!! live and die by that rule!!! hahhaa xoxo natalie!

ONLINE SHOPPING IS NOT ALWAYS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GO.....

2 weeks ago I walked into old navy to stock up on some basics, to my surprise and I mean really there was exta 50% off of the aleady reduced prices.  I got to stock up on my plain shirts button downs and kids clothes! I got a whole bag for $50.00.  When I went online the prices were almost double if not more of what I paid.  See stores go by what sells at that location, and living in a small town you find bette deals.  (I will go more into detail with a later post about that). So I went back two days later found pants for 98 cents

This does not always just apply to Old navy, but to also many other stores, target, steve madden, bath and body works, kohls jcpenny etc etc you have to be willing to go though the racks of clothes but in the end you will be surprised at what you find!
PS.  Old navy is having a sale this week on Pea Coats!!!! Girls you dont need Burberry to look fab in a Pea coat!!!!

Your new Secret E-mail

So girls everywhere we go when we shop we are asked for our e-mail, and we cant lie and be like oh we dont have one, and we dont wanna be rude and be like the old women who say "I DONT WANT YOUR EMAILS".  Cause secretly we do.  We need these as we begin our journy into saving.  But we dont wanna overload our personal email with coupons, cause then our important mail gets lost.  so my suggestion for you is to.  Go to gmail, hotmail, live etc and setup an easy to remember email address and something that is fast and quick when you are paying and they ask for your email.  even if its not your name do it, liz1234@gmail.com mary1234@live.com etc. etc.  Be sure to sign up at your fav stores, bath and body works, VS, Steve Madden, Nordstrom etc.  I promise you wont regret this!!!

SPLURGE!!!!!!!!

So, when do you splurge? Its something that every girl wants to do, and is often tempted walking into Nordy's (Nordstrom).  You want the newest Coach purse, you want the new Chanel sunglasses or Jeffery Campbell shoes, and as my husband is watching over me typing this knowing that I splurge to often, he gives me a sort of funny look.  He knows that I'm guilty of this compulsion, but how can you help not having the 6 inch JC plats in your life? 
Well here is my proposal to all of you girls.  We are here to save! YES! we are not here to splurge.  So this is what you need to do.  Have two purse's one winter one summer, one pair of ugg's (they last foreverrrr) one pair of summer shoes, and 2 sunglasses in your life.  Each year they are to be replaced.  With the money you save from buying clothes (which I will help you with) you will be able to afford that Coach or Gucci.  Give yourself these splurges, but leave the Jeans, Shirts, Jackets etc to me!

Welcome Classy Girls

So, why are we all here? because we wanna look good duh?! Well, sadly not all women achieve this look.  Why? because they think to look good they need to have expensive clothes.  NOT TRUE.  Some websites like LamasRichie.com, Perezhilton.com etc. expect you to pay all this money to look to what THEY think is good enough.  Chanel jackets are not required to be a fashionista, or to just look good.  I'm sick of seeing girls clubbing in cheap looking dresses, when they can be clubbing in cheap dresses that dont look cheap! So here I'm to save the day.  I will give all my girls tips, sales, and what you need to survive in the world filled with beautiful clothing.
